pair of wire stools by Cees Braakman for Pastoe

Lovely pair of wire stools by Cees Braakman (1917-1995) for Pastoe, designed in 1958. Cees Braakman was one of the most influential designers of the Netherlands. After WWII he was sent to the USA to study American design. He worked for UMS Pastoe (Utrechtsche machinale stoel-en meubelfabriek) as from the age of 17 and was head of design department until 1978. Can be used around a dining table as spare stools, in a bathroom, in front of a desk. There is something playful about them, something charming also.

Dimensions : H55/W47
