Set of 4 dining chairs by Oswald Haerdtl produced by TON (after Thonet) in the fifties. This chair was designed in 1955 by Austrian designer Oswald Haerdtl (1899-1959). The colour of the wood is very warm and the're all in original condition. These chairs are sturdy but they don't look heavy thanks to the double bow in the back. They're not often seen and again as always when I have something new I hesitate to keep or sell them. I have not had the chance to see them in a serie like this before so I would say even if it's only 4 (I must admit I have a 5th one around my own table but don't tell anyone please) it's worth trying to mix them or trying to "build up" a series each time you see one. And after some time you have the number you need. But this is of course the whole idea behind vintage collection, time is your best ally, it's not like buying 12 in a supermarket.
