Again a large number of Lilly candlesticks by Swedish sculptor Ivar Alenius Bjork (1905-1978) by Ystad Metall. The model is called Lilly because it has the shape of a Lilly. These brass candlesticks were designed in 1939 and are normally used as vases. Originally, in the hole, they had a small transparent vase to be used as soliflower. Unfortunately by the years these vases are rarely found and people started using them as candlesticks. For several years I have been buying these whenever I see them. I keep a collection in my house and when friends come over for a dinner, many of them admire these because of their chic look. They are a real pleasure to keep at home as nice object. Even without a candle they look great! But, magic really appears at night when you light the candles, pour a glass of wine, surround yourself with friends and beloved ones, serve them homemade-with- love dinner and put on some jazzy music...
