Beautiful LCW (lounge chair wood not to be confounded with DCW : dining chair wood) by the very well known American architects and designers, a couple of incredible creators : Charles (1907-1978) and Ray (1912-1988) Eames. This is a classic, an icon for designaddicts. This chair is still in production today by Vitra but this very chair is an old one, produced by Herman Miller. What can I say, the shape, the wood, the patina...it's superb. The back has 1 big shockmount as always is the case with old versions (new versions have 2). Underneath is a 5-2-4 version (the screws). I see no label or logo. This is an eyecatcher, a dreamchair for many. It's warm, low and large, full of beautiful details, just look at the different layers of wood. This has nothing to do with new versions, it's much more authentic, it has traces of years, fantastic patina, a soul really.
