Lovely wire stool by Cees Braakman (1917-1995) for Pastoe, designed in 1958. Cees Braakman was one of the most influential designers of the Netherlands. After WWII he was sent to the USA to study American design. He worked for UMS Pastoe (Utrechtsche machinale stoel-en meubelfabriek) as from the age of 17 and was head of design department until 1978. This little stool is very practical because it almost takes no place and it can be used next to your desk as office chair or as a second desk chair. Black lacquered metal, perfect condition.
