Splendid coffee table by Kurt Ostervig (1912-1986) for Jason Danish Applied Art around 1950 (signed under the table). The model is called Surfboard. Ostervig was a Danish designer who loved to combine oak and leather. He designed furniture for nursery homes, ships and cinemas. This table is extremely refined with its combination of teak (plate), oak (feet) and brass (underneath the table) details. It's condition is really superb. Nice also because of it's legs which differentiates it by other more classical models with plain feet which have nothing special. Here there's a real research on aesthetics and details.
